Yoda ROTS Force FX Lightsaber (2010)
First Impression:
The packing of the Yoda ROTS FX-Lightsaber is just as big as that of all other FX-Lightsabers, even though this saber is about 30cm shorter than the rest.
If there would not be the Hasbro sign on the pommel, one could believe this saber to be the Master Replicas' version, for there is no visual difference.
Handling:
The hilt is shorter than the one of the other FX-Lightsabers, because Yoda happens to be only 90cm in height as well.
In spite of the hilt's little amplitude it fits into the hand well and easy spins and tricks can be performed effortless.
Light and Sound:
The soundmodule of the Yoda ROTS unfortunately is not one of the newest versions by Hasbro; it rather relies on the old Master Replicas standard, so it has 3 moving- and 4 clashsounds.
The green light of the blade is very consistent, it only catches the eye that the blade only has a diameter of 3/4 Inch instead of the standard 1 Inch.
Despite the smaller length there are 64 LEDs in the LED-strip as well, which is why this saber is one of the brightest.
Wearout:
With passing time the rubber of the plastic-grips wears out, which does not look specifically nice.
This only tends to happen with intensive use.
Conclusion:
The Yoda ROTS FX-Lightsaber is a great collectible and should not be missed in a collection because of its uniqueness. However it is not suitable for show performances.
Unfortunately Hasbro has copied the Master Replicas' version one to one, so there are no innovations on this replica.

Resulting Mark: 5/10
