Characteristics of a lightsaber ---->
Many people compare a lightsaber and its handling with conventional weapons such as swords or weapons from the times of the samurai. Such a comparison is not authentic, because you can’t and mustn’t compare these weapons! Even if we are talking about a lightsaber the word “saber” shouldn’t be taken literally.
The only thing you can compare with conventional swords and their use are the various styles and forms of struggle, as the Japanese warriors and their martial arts. These include the complex movements of arms and legs, body posture and of course the handling of a sword or weapon. Even the actors in Star Wars and George Lucas used some of these fight forms, otherwise some scenes would not have become that vividly. Further on some duels would not have been realizable as they were shown in the three new episodes.
You don’t need to be struggle athlete to be able to lead a lightsaber, but everyone should watch his body and movements, handling it.
Some tricks and combinations are essential! These are with some training quite fast to acquire and after some time to refine. Gradually you can create your own style and develop on the existing basic knowledge. Watch the exercises under the heading “Videos& Tutorials” with which you can learn the necessary tricks. To practice correctly of course you need a lightsaber!
! The best and cheapest of this time are FX lightsabers, but unfortunately Master Replica’s licence stopped and in future Hasbro will sell them. But they are very close to the original and with proper treatment they last ages!
